In 2018, we invited Northern Kentucky
to dinner.
The NKY Picnic Table Project's goal was to bring people together through art and food.
The community's response was incredible.

Here's how it worked:

Buy a table
Over 70 "communities" (including cities, neighborhoods, families, churches, schools, clubs, and businesses) purchased a table for $500 ($400 for nonprofits). All the tables were delivered to a warehouse. Click here to see a poster of the completed tables.

Decorate it
We had several painting parties where folks came together to decorate their tables. Paint, refreshments and other supplies were provided. Click here to watch a table being painted and see photos from the painting parties.

Picnic!
On June 16, 2018, all the tables were lined up along the Purple People Bridge for a giant community picnic over the river! More than 600 people came together to share a meal (the main course was burgers and hot dogs donated by Glier's) and enjoy the original art on all the tables.
