4th of July: celebrate, NKY-style!
Say "Happy Birthday" to America with these fun 4th of July activities in Northern Kentucky.
The booms and bangs, the oohs and ahhs--fireworks are the quintessential celebration. Fort Thomas has a parade, games, rides and food plus fireworks at 10pm.
Naturally, a town like Independence would lean into this holiday. They will have music, cocktails, fireworks and more.
Double your fun by attending both celebrations--Fort Thomas' is on Saturday and Indepence's is on Sunday.
Patriotic military concert
Join the 202nd Army Band of the Kentucky National Guard for a free concert at the Devou Park bandshell on Saturday. You'll want to hum and salute at the same time! Learn more
Live music & comedy
The locations for the free music and comedy shows on Friday are across the street from each other, so you can easily see both.
The evening starts with music from Brian Sauer at 5:00 at Darkness Brewing. Cross the avenue at 7:00 for the comedy show in front of Nomad. Then every half hour, they switch off. It's sure to be a great night with non-stop fun! Learn more
